Today's thoughts
ByWe went to CiCi’s for dinner last night. Is it just our location or do you feel like the circus came to town while dining at CiCi’s?
We really like going there and love their pizza but there are some very strange people at that place!!! Last night we had the pleasure of dining with: a VERY large man who had a little girl in a high chair that was throwing food ALL OVER THE FLOOR -I mean everywhere; a couple of families (sitting together) that had dads that were talking to their infants in a very feminine, sing-song voice for awhile (not the way you usually here a dad talking to his kids); a family that looked like they were all serious drug users – you know how you can just tell right?; a kid that was jumping in front of everyone in line and talking to himself the whole time he was doing it, and then of course the people who pile up pizza on their plate like they’re never going to get food again – ever. And this is just a small sample of who was there! My husband was the one that decided we were at the circus. It was pretty funny when he said it – something like we don’t need to buy tickets to Barnum and Bailey – we just need to head to CiCi’s. I just about spit my drink across the table when he said it.
Moving on to other topics…Does anybody else think Dan on The Biggest Loser is turning into an arrogant jerk? He really got on my nerves this week. I’ve never liked Mark but, before the weigh in, I was hoping that blue team would lose and they’d send Dan home! I don’t like the blue team though so I was happy to see them lose and happy to see Mark go home.
And last but not least – American Idol… I think the guys are the ones to beat this year! There are a couple of girls that I really like but most of the guys are really good! My favorite contestants right now are David Archuleta and Carly Smithson. I think they’re both fabulous! I LOVED David’s song this week!! Do any of you have a favorite yet? And seriously, does Danny Noriega make anyone else want to puke change the channel? I can’t stand a “man” who acts that feminine. It’s just disgusting!
Well, I think that’s all of my profound thoughts for the day.
Hope you have a great one!

We always make it a point to only go to CiCi’s for lunch. The crowd is MUCH better…people on their lunch break from work and not many kids. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of their food, I prefer the lunch buffet at East of Chicago. (Hmmm, do they even have those WEST of Chicago, where ya’ll are???)
Anyway, I’m glad you said that about Biggest Loser because I didn’t get to see it this week, it was preempted here to show the democratic debate. Sigh. So, the mean-o-head Mark went home, huh?? I can’t believe the blue team lost again!! With those big guys they should be winning week after week. I guess Gillian just has the magic touch, huh?
I have totally blown off AI this season. Just not into it at all. Oh well, I’ll catch it next year!
I’ll have to remember that lunch is better then.
I don’t think we have East of Chicago here. I’ve never heard of it anyway.
Yeah, the blue team had an okay week but Mark only lost 1 pound. He just doesn’t have that much left to lose so he wasn’t going to be able to get high numbers anymore. The black team did really well though. And since they’re smaller their numbers don’t have to be as high.
It’s so not too late for American Idol!! They’re still in the round where they get down to the final 12. They’re in the top 20 this week (going to 16 tonight) and next week it will go from 16 to 12. They are all really good this year if you decide to get back into it.
Hey I just wanted to tahnk you so much for being so open with sharing your homeschool experience and anwering my questions. You are so very sweet to take the time to help me along. I don’t know where we are headed for the next year, but I wanted to let you know I appreciate it!
Blessings,
Debbie
Thanks, Debbie. That really means a lot to me. I’m so glad it was helpful to you. That’s really one of the main reasons that I love blogging. It’s so neat to be able to help someone with something I’ve already been through and I love learning from others for the same reason!
I’m one of those people at CiCi’s who piles up food on his plate like he’s never going to eat again. Well, sometimes. It depends on which flavors they have on the buffet at the moment.
That’s too funny, w&f!!
WOW, I thought we here in VA are the only ones who have a CICI’s!
Wouldn’t you know it there everywhere…LOL
I don’t watch “the biggest loser” right now, so I can’t comment on that.
American Idol………..I agree I like the guys better this time around, but havent chosen a favorite yet.
Wishing you a wonderful day
Andrea:)
[...] my blogging buddy “MOM” finds always cheap things.( I don’t mean that in a derogatory way, she is just great [...]
Yeah, Andrea, they’re everywhere!
Thanks for stopping by (and for the link!).
I got to say, 1). Thanks for coming to my blog and commenting, and 2). I never seen the badge from PPS…just never seen it. I get old
Andrea
Andrea – 1. you’re welcome and 2. I’m glad you finally noticed it.
OK, so I know I’m a little late on reading and commenting on this, but I had to make a CiCi’s comment. We love CiCi’s (especially the cinnamon rolls…mmmm…now I want 1…or 13). Anyway, one Sunday our pastor was speaking on marriage and was talking about how men are visual and if they see an attractive woman, they have to make sure that their eyes are bouncing (you know – not landing on a woman that’s not thier wife and staying there…)
So we go to CiCi’s that day for lunch after church. It IS like a circus. It would also be a good audition site for the next season of The Biggest Loser. Anyway, after we’d been there for about 10 minutes, my husband looked at me and said, “I’m going to have to tell Pete (our pastor) that if his eyes get tired of bouncing, he can just come eat at CiCi’s. No bouncing needed here!”
Now that I’ve typed the story, it doesn’t seem as funny. Well, it was funny in my head…
I think it’s hilarious!!!
“It would also be a good audition site for the next season of The Biggest Loser.” Especially that!!! And so very true!
