Randomness
ByHomeschooling news
I had asked about the Mystery of History curriculum recently and did a little research and decided I really liked it. Well, I ordered it and it came today!! I love getting new books! And of course we jumped right into it too. It came during lunch time so as soon as we were through with lunch we did lesson 1. I read through the pages that explain how the curriculum works and everything and I’m just so excited about it. I think it’s going to be great!!
Testimony and prayer
Karen shared a story recently about a family with an amazing testimony. If you haven’t heard the testimony of Eliot’s parents you’ve got to take the time to watch the video. You will NOT regret it. I promise.
Please be in prayer for Gracelyn.
For fun
In other news, I’ve recently discovered a great blog that I’m very much enjoying and I bet you would too! Her name is Joy and her blog is Five J’s. She has some GREAT homeschooling stuff on there and lots of other great posts as well. Go check it out!
Can you believe that those guys voted Jackie off on the Biggest Loser? It wouldn’t be so bad if they hadn’t told her they weren’t going to!!! I so want Jillian’s team to win!!!
Is anyone else glad the auditions are over on American Idol? Can we get to the people with talent plleeeeaaaase!!!
Okay, did anyone check out this post, this post, or this post? Seriously, I’m feeling a little neglected on those!!! They’re good – I promise!
Well, I guess that’s all the randomness I have in me for now. Have a great day everyone!

We were just looking at Mystery of History for next year maybe…or maybe one year after that. Please let me know what you think about it. Is there a lot of planning to do on the moms behalf?
I am excited to hear what you think about it!
So far I really like what I see about it. It’s laid out very well and she includes pretty much everything you need in one book. She also has a list in the back of books and videos that would be good supplemental tools. Since I haven’t gotten very far into it I can’t say for sure but it doesn’t seem to require much planning at all. You might have to gather some things from around the house to complete the activities but as far as actually teaching – the information is all in the book.
After we’ve completed more of it I’ll try to remember to come back and write a review on it again.
So sorry I haven’t been around to spread the love! Between remodeling and painting….well, I haven’t been blogging as much as I’d like!! I am still reading though, through my reader, which makes me a tad less likely to comment if I’m short on time.
Still love ya!!
That’s a big job, Missy! I’ve been pretty scarce the last couple of days too! (Thank goodness for future posting.
) I probably have a ton of posts in my google reader to catch up on!
