Places I'd love to visit someday
ByThere aren’t many places in the world where I wouldn’t want to go – maybe not North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Iraq – those just don’t seem like touristy places you know?
I’m a traveler and I love to see what the world looks like in lots of different areas. I’ve traveled around the US quite a bit and have really enjoyed it. I’ve been to every state east of the Mississippi except New Jersey and Wisconsin but still have nine states to visit west of the Mississippi and I’m hoping to get to all of them eventually! So far, Canada is the only country I’ve been to outside of the US but I’m hoping to be able to one day change that. If I got that opportunity these are the places that would probably be high on my list: Israel – Jerusalem in particular but other areas as well, Italy, France, England, Ireland, Greece, Australia, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. Of course, given the opportunity, there are a lot of other places I’m sure I would enjoy traveling through but those are the ones high on my list. What about you – if you could travel anywhere where would it be?

My grandparents (79 and 83 years old) just got back from a 3 week tour of Eastern Europe and they absolutely loved it, Prague most of all. My husband has travelled by motorcycle in every country of Central and South America and decided that he liked Argentina the best. Some of my best friends live in Dubai and their description of life there is fascinating. As for me, I’d love to go to Egypt and Japan. I’d also like to go to Italy (for the food), France (for the food) and England again (not for the food). I went to London for one week when I was a teenager and loved the history and character of the place. I think Vancouver would be a fun city to visit and I have heard it is beautiful. Domestically, I haven’t been to many places, but I would like to go to San Francisco, Orlando (Disneyworld!) and the Grand Canyon.
Ever since I learned about it in the fourth grade my NUMBER ONE place to wanna see is Peru. Near Lima is a mural of “The Last Supper”, and everyone at the table is of a different nationality. I would SO love to at least find a post card of it or something! LOL! (((((HUGS))))) sandi
Hi girls! Thanks for sharing what you want to see!! Those sound like great places too! Like I said, there aren’t many places I wouldn’t want to see!
I am torn between the intellectual in me wanting to visit Rome and Greece, and the girl in me wanting to lay on the beach in Hawaii!! Those are always the top three on my list for some reason.
I’m like that too, Missy!! I love visiting places where I can learn something and see history come alive but lying on the beach is always great too!
I would like to visit Timbuktu- even if only to learn how to spell it properly.
I remember when I was a kid hearing people to refer to somewhere REALLY far away as Timbuktu and then getting older and finding out that it really was a place! haha! I always just thought it was just an expression that someone made up.
