My garden

This picture was taken when we bought the house a year ago:

This one was taken today – I was trying to get the same shot as the first picture. As you can see my tree is a little bigger and got in the way for part of it. 
Two of my lilies opened yesterday! Look at those:

What a beautiful difference, and great flowers/trees. Also, I LOVE the chairs and watering can on the porch – makes everything look so much more “homey.” Nice work! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, teeni! As you can see I had just watered when I took a couple of the pictures – there’s water all over the edge of the porch.
It looks so beautiful! What a difference in the before and after pics.
I was blessed by moving into a house where they’d planted the types of things that come back year after year–if I hadn’t who knows what my house would look like! I do not have a green thumb, that is for sure!! Nice job!

Thanks, MZ! I just love watching the stuff grow. It’s funny though because I’ll go to my mom’s house and she has some of the same plants but they will be much bigger and I’ll wonder why mine aren’t that big! She says be patient and they’ll get bigger.

Thanks for the compliments! I really enjoy gardening and it’s nice to have people appreciate it. Even my husband told me yesterday how good it looked. It was funny because he’s not really into gardening or flowers or anything (although he did help me dig this one last year!) but he said despite the fact he doesn’t get into all of it that I had done a good job and it looked really good. That was pretty awesome coming from him. 
MLBH, this house looks like a house that would be in my neighborhood. We are working on our landscaping too this summer. Our house has bushes in front kind of like yours, but yours looks much nicer. We have alot to do. I will post some pictures of mine if we ever get that far!

There were quite a few bushes in the front when we moved in – I dug several of them out though. I like some bushes but I like flowers more.
I’ll have to put up a before and after picture of the front where the bushes were. I’m looking forward to seeing your pics!
